Emphasis on tried. I don’t think I’m exactly happy with how she looks? But I also didn’t really find any good reference to wok from… It’s just really hard to draw anything that comes remotely close to how she is described (at least with my current skills that is, someone better could probably do her justice)
Ok so I am freaking the heck out right now about this book 10 business.
Skulduggery Pleasant is my series. Sure, the writing’s not the best for the first few books, and there are things that I thought needed more tying up or development, but it’s my series. Like, this series got me through some hella rough times, and I had read it over ten times within two years because that was MY series, a second home and an escape. Book nine came out right around the time I moved out of the nightmare land. I literally cried during the last hundred pages due to all the character deaths, and then I cried again because it was over. My series was over. It was dead. I went through the whole five goddamn stages of grief over that series. But the ending sort of punted me into a whole new world, somehow… I don’t use the move as the marking point in my ascension out of hell. I use the ending of Skulduggery Pleasant because it so profoundly impacted me.
Book ten’s announcement was like an promise of a dead, beloved friend’s reanimation. For the past nine or so months it’s been reassembled and polished. But will it be the same? Will it be better than the same? Or will I only see it as Frankenstein’s monster? The cover and title only add to the suspense. I can’t wait. I’ve never been so excited for a book in my life, but I’ve never been so scared for a sequel.

I’m not sure why I would be rowing in a well-rendered ocean completely, one-hundred-percent nude. I’m not sure why anyone would row in the nude. I’m not sure why you see a nudist and immediately associate it with me. It’s rather concerning.
I like the stormy sky, however, even if you have strange associations.
Before anyone says that Omen Darkly is a stupid name, we should remember that he is probably from Roarhaven (Derek said there’d be a lot of Roarhaven so I’m assuming…) and that town produced a guy named Lightning Dave.
Also if Roarhaven was a suburban, non-magic town, it’d be the place where kids get “unique” names like KVIIItlynn.
And I want Omen Darkly to be an unironic edgelord, or to have been an unironic edgelord at some point and seriously regret that entire period of his life, and his name. Either way, he needs to be made fun of a lot every time he steps out of that town.
I know it’s been like 5mins since the Resurrection cover release BUT
“You can’t keep a dead man down.” is bugging me because IT COULD BE REFERRING TO ANY OF THE DEAD MEN NOT JUST SKULDUGGERY?! So….Ghastly? Ravel?
Hopefully not Ravel. But lets be real it ain’t gonna be Ghastly…that’s too kind…
I mean it could just mean Skulduggery, coming back for the new book but it would be funny for the tagline to have a pun…especially since all of us would be SCREAMING.
I mean, the whole thing with Dexter and Saracen as well… Ooh theories man, I love it
Most people get high on drugs or alcohol or something but here’s me bouncing off the walls and nearly hyperventilating reading about the new Skulduggery Pleasant book.
